This gluten-free, vegan smoothie is bursting with juicy raspberry and peach flavor! Use either fresh or frozen fruit for a satisfying and healthy breakfast, any time of the year.
Hi and happy Sunday! How is your weekend going? We took Owen to a birthday party in New Jersey yesterday where he had a great time playing on a slip ‘n slide and stuffing himself with hot dog and cake. Today we’re hosting a brunch for one of my former coworkers who recently completed the great migration from Brooklyn to Westchester (just like we did three years ago). Later this afternoon we’re headed over to my in-laws house for some pool- and cousin-time.
I know I’ve sort of fallen off the wagon with my Sunday Smoothie posts, but I’m trying to get back on track. With all the delicious summer fruits and veggies in season, I’ve been inspired to whip up some fun new combinations in the blender, like this one!
One of my absolute favorite summer desserts is peach melba, which is essentially peaches and vanilla ice cream topped with fresh raspberry sauce. Yum. I decided to incorporate those flavors into a healthy, gluten-free and vegan smoothie.
Just throw peaches and raspberries (either fresh or frozen is fine) into a blender with almond milk, 1/2 frozen banana, some raw gluten-free oats, and yummy spices like vanilla, cinnamon, and a pinch of ginger. Add some ice and blend, blend, blend.
Isn’t it such a gorgeous purple color?
This smoothie is literally bursting with the flavors of ripe peaches and raspberries. It makes a delicious and wholesome breakfast or afternoon snack.

Peaches and raspberries. I would have never thought of that combo. I do love peaches and may need to check this out.

Peaches are finally ripe here in Virginia, so I have a kitchen full of them. This looks like a perfect combination!
