Matcha Spinach Smoothie

This light and healthy smoothie makes a perfect post-workout breakfast.

  • 1 banana frozen, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup loosely packed baby spinach
  • 1 1/4 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon matcha (green tea powder)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4-5 ice cubes


  1. Combine the banana, spinach, almond milk, chia seeds, matcha, vanilla extract, and ice in a blender and blend until smooth. (If the blender is sticking, add a few tablespoons of water.)

Recipe Notes

If you don't have chia seeds, you can substitute 1 to 2 tablespoons of oats.
