Butternut Squash Pomegranate Smoothie

This easy, delicious smoothie is the perfect start to a cold winter morning. If you don't have butternut squash on hand, you can use canned pumpkin or mashed sweet potato. If you don't have pomegranate molasses, you can substitute 1 teaspoon regular molasses.

  • 1/2 cup cooked mashed butternut squash
  • 1/2 large banana peeled and frozen
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon pomegranate molasses
  • 1 tablespoon gluten-free oats
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon
  • 4-5 large ice cubes
  • 2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds


  1. Combine the butternut squash, banana, almond milk, pomegranate molasses, oats, pumpkin pie spice, and ice in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and top with the pomegranate seeds.
