Strawberry Rose Wine Mojito

This fizzy, fruity mojito is made with muddled strawberries and rosé wine. With only six simple ingredients, it’s the perfect warm weather cocktail!

Strawberry Rose Wine Mojito

Have you heard of brogurt? It’s yogurt…for men! I think it’s hilarious for so many reasons, but mostly because the “manly” packaging is completely ridiculously and over the top. Is that a bull with horns? Like, instead of a womanly cow? How do they even come up with this stuff?

I would, however, fully support an ad campaign that marketed rosé wine to men. I love, love, love a nice dry rosé, but Alex…not so much. I think secretly he likes the taste, but he just can’t get past the whole pink wine thing. Because of that, I rarely buy rosé. It’s just easier and more economical to pick a white we will both enjoy. So I’m asking you, is there a brawny, macho rosé out there? If so, I’d like to know about it!

One day that I do treat myself to rosé, though, is Mother’s Day. On the second Sunday in May, all bets are off! Cocktails and wine should be PINK–like this fruity, bubbly strawberry rosé wine mojito.

Last summer I posted a recipe for a white wine mojito that has consistently been a top performer for me both on my blog and on Pinterest. It turns out, people love wine-based cocktails! I wanted to put a new spin on the recipe and update it for the season ahead. In addition to swapping rosé for sauvingon blanc, in this version I include muddled strawberries at the bottom of each glass.

This drink is one of my favorites because it’s lower in alcohol (so you can have two!). In addition to Mother’s Day, it’s a great choice for pool parties and backyard BBQs (hello, Memorial Day) and it’s easy to customize–try swapping watermelon or raspberries for the strawberries.

I had to laugh so hard at brogurt! It reminded me of an episode of “Raising Hope” where they tried to pitch their invention of pork chop and cheeseburger flavored brogurt. Luckily the ones you link are still fruit flavored 🙂
And yes, I love mojitos and will have to try making them with rosé next.
